".his life with us." elijah's family says. he will make a full recovery. yosemite's curry village has opened up for the year. after a deadly hanta virus outbreak. last summer, the outbreak at the popular lodging spot killed three people. and sickened ten others. each year. thousands of people visit curry village. which is made up of more than 400 canvas and wood cabins. the tents where the hanta virus infections were found, are in what's called. the "signature series cabins". the park service crews removed more than 90 of those cabins. in an effort to permanently stop the disease from spreading.

officials say, a relationship dispute could be to blame for the deadly triple shooting. here are photographs of 19- year old castro-mata. she joined the marines in december 20-11. last month, she was promoted to lance corporal. both the accused shooter. and castro-mata are from the bay area.

her accused killer. sergeant ooh-say-be-oh lopez. is from pacifica. tonight. authorities now say, the two people killed in that fiery crash on interstate 80 yesterday. was a bay area couple. the couple. in their 70's. lived in petaluma. this is video of the thursday morning's crash. from our helicopter partnership with a-b-c 7 news. it happened near davis. after a big rig driver choked on food. lost consciousness. and drove across the center divider. crashing into the couple's car head-on. all lanes of interstate 80 were shut down for hours. a disturbing story out of the city of san mateo-- police have arrested a man for spying on young children while taking pictures of them. it all took place at the pennisula gymnastic facilty in san mateo. authorities have identified the man as 19 -year old edward george mielke of los altos. in addition to taking pictures, police also say they found child pornography on mielke's cell phone. police zeroed in on him. after receiving a call from

a concerned parent. now they are looking into other possible crimes involving mielke. car thefts in one south bay city are on the rise. san jose is seeing a 53- percent increase this year, compared to last year police say, more than 18- hundred cars were stolen in the first two months of 2013. that number is up. from nearly 12-hundred car thefts during the same time last year. the 1994 honda accord. is reportedly the most stolen car in the u-s. kron 4's stanely roberts spoke with victims. who had their 1994 honda accords stolen more than once. nats: which is this one i put it on the break i do it like that i get a lock you have to do all that just to drive your car im in san jose near story road where chris aldo is demonstrating how he has to use not one but two separate locks to keep thieves from stealing his 1994 honda accord

chris aldo had learned from experience you see this black honda in his back yard this one has been stolen twice yes this black 1994 honda was stolen and then driven till the wheels fell off. not really the thieves ran out of gas they punched the ignition switch which was one of the flaws of the 94 accords i know i use to own one i can start it whith any kind of key yea his next door neighbor had his accord stolen twice in three month once from his driveway and once from church the first time his car was stolen it was recoverd in sacramento on another street these two again 1994 honda accords but the white one was stolen twice and recovered twice

in those same locations. behind me here is a google earth map that shows what would happen if a magnitude 8 earthquake somewhere offshore sent a tsunami wave towards the coast. let's focus on what would happen here in the bay area. the purple area's are where the wave could hit. in san francisco, a wave hitting ocean beach could reach inland as far as 47th street. the wave would also pass through the golden gate and reach locations inside san francisco bay. in the marina, on the city's northern edge, the wave could stretch to bay street. in the middle of the bay, treasure island could be completely washed over. and in the east bay, nearly all of the port of oakland, large swaths of alameda and the area around the oakland airport could be inundated. a tsunami could also reach inland as far as the oakland coliseum. standup the state e-m-a hopes that these updated maps will help local agencies create better emergency response plans. in the newsroom, charles clifford kron 4 news. >> jacqueline: it was certainly warm out there

'70s in a number of places and even 80s! look at san francisco. 70's you can fuel the war in changes rolling in. with clouds and rain fall for the forecast. tomorrow, some showers. but sunday, more rain and thunderstorms. easter sunday will be impacted. it will warm back up for next week. the satellite and radar showing the increase in clouds. this wave of light showers against the north bay coast. light rain as we look offshore it is well offshore. we can see it is rotating but not moving quite that much. this is what we call a cut off system it is cut off from the wind. they are very

difficult to forecast and they could do what ever they want. right now is moving very slowly. impacting saturday and sunday morning. and perhaps sunday afternoon. as we move toward saturday some showers. but the main raine on moderat felle with more coverage possible. we are also going to see this rainfall for the north bay. as we move towards noon, the same with the coverage. and we will see areas of moderate rainfall. thunderstorm activity. by 3:00 p.m., the rainfall is continuing. and a sunday evening some more of a break. the rainfall headlines we could see some rain. under one-half inch

triple-a is predicting cheaper gas this summer, than in recent years. here is what drivers are paying around the bay area. a gallon of regular in san francisco will run you four- dollars- and-fourteen- cents. oakland drivers are paying four- dollars- and-two- cents. and in san jose a gallon costs four- dollars-and- three-cents. the federal government wants cleaner gasoline to help reduce smog. that's according to the head of the national association of clean air agencies. who says reducing sulfur in gasoline is one of the most effective ways to clean up the air. it estimates. the new rule will cut smog by about 30- percent. critics of the new rule say, it will raise the price of a gallon of gas by about a dime. but the government says the increase would be about a penny.

>> pam: now for a look at our top stories at eight- thirty. tonight. a baby shot in the released from the hospital. the gunman is still on the loose. richmond police say they are now going all out to find the suspect. in san bruno. authorities are searching for whoever is behind a break-in at el crystal elementary school. overnight, someone broke in and stole dozens of mac computers. the school is slated to become a special technology school. and those computers were vital to the schools new cirriculum. the computers were estimated around at least forty thousand dollars. yosemite's curry village

how far would you go to save the life of someone you don't even know. well a man in philadelphia put his own life in danger to save a man who fell onto the subway tracks. and it was all caught on tape. take a look. as you can see the victim fall onto the tracks just inches from the electric rail. still chris knafelc jumps down four feet onto the tracks and stays with the victim. even though he knew that the trains run every seven minutes. so he sent nearby passengers to tell train officials to shut down the line. here's what he had to say. "there have been people there for me when i needed somebody and these people i can't pay back, so the next best thing would be to pay it forward." >> pam: firefighters arrived soon after and moved the victim off of the track. he was sent to a local hospital where he's in stable condition.

it might be time for mark zuckerberg to un-friend uncle sam. the facebook c-e-o is expected to owe the i-r-s more than a billion dollars in taxes for 20-12. the momentous bill stems from his decision to exercise a stock option and buy more than 60 million facebook shares when the site went public. even though we don't know exactly what he'll owe, it is known that the i-r-s will treat his stock options as income, which translates to roughly two billion dollars. and since zuckerberg's tax rate is close to 50 percent, well, you can do the math. zuckerberg knew the giant tax bill was coming, so he sold more than 30-million shares during facebook's i- p-o to cover it, according to a facebook regulatory filing. >> 25,000 to gamers have shown their attendance at the gaming conference. and to the surprise of many people, the return of virtual reality. we all thought that it came and went but it is back. more
